Ballet:
Classical form of dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses.The foundation of all dance forms.
Modern:
Organic movement emphasizing the use of weight, release technique, rhythm and musicality. Warm-up exercises, traveling sequences and dance phrases will loosely draw on the technique of Jose Limon, with an influence of ballet and jazz styles.
Jazz:
Jazz is an exciting, dynamic way to get coordinated, flexible and feel great. Learn the basics of form and technique while improving core stability and range of motion. Explore different styles through choreographed routines set to popular music.
Creative Movement:
Our Young Dancer's Program consists of ballet concepts combined with imagination and dramatic play. These classes intergrate fine and gross motor movements, spacial skills, rhythm, and coordination. We use these methods to enhance the exploration of
Theater Jazz:
Our theater dance classes combine jazz technique with the many different dance syles taken from Broadway shows.
Tap:
Beginning Students learn single, double, and triple time steps, riffs, pull backs, and upper body style. As students advance their vocabulary will grow. They will explore different tap styles from Broadway Tap, to low into the ground Hoofing style, to the more contemporary strong modern styles of Rhythm Tap.
Hip Hop:
Hip hop dance refers to dance styles, mainly street dance styles, primarily danced to hip hop music, or that have evolved as a part of the hip hop community.
Pilates Mat:
This class is a combination of Pilates, yoga and core strengthening.
Acrobatics:
For the beginner, simply learning to roll properly can minimize injuries which occur in everyday mishaps. For an athlete and dancer, acrobatics builds strength, agility, power, dexterity, and coordination.
Contemporary:
Contemporary dance draws on modern dance techniques as well as newer philosophies of movement that depart from classical dance techniques by altogether omitting structured form and movement
